The Discipline of Freedom is an approach to creative development that helps people discover greater authenticity, presence, and freedom of expression. Through attentive observation, practical exploration, and individual guidance, Nancy Spanier and Paul Oertel support each person in uncovering the innate creativity that often lies beneath habit, self-consciousness, and limiting beliefs. Rather than teaching a fixed method, Spanier and Oertel create the conditions in which each participant can discover their own voice, deepen their artistic awareness, and develop a more truthful and expressive relationship with themselves and others. As participants become more aware of these principles, they often discover:
